Sustainability

A circular approach to sustainability

The definition of sustainability is expanding to encompass the entire lifecycle of products in any industry. At Sabo, we have developed a circular approach and are committed to continually improving our sustainability in the sourcing, production, distribution and consumption of our products, right up to the disposal of their packaging.

Respect for the environment is part of our DNA: we introduced first sustainability measures in our plant back in the 1970’s, including wastewater treatment and emission control.

As of the early 1980s, Sabo was one of Europe's first industrial companies to invest in organic products .We can proudly claim to have made a significant contribution to the development of Switzerland's organic oil market, promoting sustainable agriculture with a low environmental footprint.

We place great importance on carefully selecting our suppliers, whom we regularly visit and assess in order to guarantee high-quality products, from the raw materials to the packaging.

In Sabo’s vision, sustainability also means having care and respect for people, starting with our employees.
We are committed to the well-being of our staff, creating a fair and collaborative working environment to encourage personal development. We go above and beyond the applicable regulations for salary and welfare policies, taking care of employees’ health and safety not only to minimise injury risks, but also to enhance their well-being. We encourage education and training to grow individual skills and stimulate innovation.
